I’m one of those that like different brands for different sizes. For babies, I love the Huggies diapers, they have the stretchy tabs and seem to hold a lot better than the other brands. But once my children hit the 1 year stage, pampers cruisers worked better.

for me horrible (huggies) my babies poo always leaks out as-well and i have to give her baths just about every day x’s2 I have been using pampers swaddlers? the one that indicates if the baby has pee it worked fine but then again maybe my baby is just pooping more than the diaper can handle she is breast feed and poops really bad 2′x’s exclusively at night

In my experience, it depends on the child. For my daughter, who is now 3, we ended up using Parents Choice (from Wal~Mart). Every other brand we used on her caused leaks, including Huggies. With my son who is 10 months old, Parents Choice caused leaks. Huggies and Pampers worked great but with Lucas’ butt sensitive to diaper rash, we ended up going with Luvs.

All in all, if you have a coupon for Huggies, try Huggies. You may find the brand works the best for your baby. My sister turned me to Luvs because she had the same diaper rash problem with her son. But sometimes, it can be try as you go.

Every little baby has a different shape I guess and it’s just a matter of finding what fits your bub best. I have always found Huggies very good for my kids and have still always gone back to them. I find I have less accidents with huggies than I do with the Baby Love. We don’t have Pampers here in Australia I don’t think. But for me, I do prefer the huggies. Even the newborns were very good for my babies and I would certainly recommend them. All babies have runny poos to start with so really I don’t think any nappy will catch it all, there is always bound to be at least one accident with newborn nappies and yes it could certainly be because your baby is just very tiny and petite. All the best though sweetie and hope you are able to find something suitable. Certainly can’t hurt to try them especially if you have a coupon, I guess you wont know if you don’t try. Good luck and all the best. Happy New Year xx

We used huggies newborns and they worked just fine for us!
He had i think 2 blow outs, but he had A LOT of poop!
We liked them, and are now using huggies size ones, and they seem to be containing everything so far!

  6. Wuviewoo says:

I personally felt the pampers swaddlers worked better.

  7. M G says:

They were great once my daughter was big enough for them–at maybe 4 weeks when she was over 8 lbs.

  8. Ms Wudee says:

To me I liked pampers better than huggies

  9. Noah's Mommy says:

I used 3 packs of huggies newborn (40 diapers each). We had a few leaks, but usually just when someone forgot to pull out the leg ruffles.

so far i’ve been really happy with all huggies and with swaddlers. i personally feel that pampers baby dry suck (at least for my son).

We used them with my son, and had no problems whatsoever.

    They worked great for us.

I have a girl so my advice may not work for you. I loved pampers swaddlers. I found that the huggies ran bigger in newborn and size 1′s. Had lots of leakage and up the back poops that are no fun at all!!!!I HATED huggies until my little one was in size 2′s. When she was in Size 2′s I got the huggies that were called Gentle Care and I loved those. I tried other kinds of huggies and I didn’t like them at all.
My baby is in size 3 now and I prefer good ol LUVS they work great and are cheap.

They were horrible. Somehow the urine always came outside of the diaper. These diapers lead to MANY outfit changes. It was as if everytime he was up for a diaper change, it was an outfit change too. I recommend Pampers. They are the best!

I started with the pamper Swaddlers when my son was a newborn. if my son could still fit them, I’d still be buying them. They were heaven.

I was given pampers swaddlers n the hospiital when my baby was born and was using them until we switched to size 1. I did buy huggies soft and dry and they were so rough after those swaddlers…and they did leak so many times. I think it’s time to switch to pampers, or at least get the softest ones from huggies. I noticed that always when stuff are good there are never enough coupons…but those stuff that suck always enough coupons

  14. New Mommy... and loving it <3 says:

i had bought a whole box of huggies newborn before my baby boy was born .. he was using pampers swaddlers in the hospital.. i changed him pretty frequently about every 2-3 hrs and he always leaked.. i dont like huggies.. i went back to pampers swaddlers and love them.. plus they are so soft.. everyones experience is diff but thats mine ‘:Đ

I HATE them ! They gave my baby her first rash b/c the tabs are so hard on them they dig into their legs causing red rash or irritation. I love pampers b/c they’re so soft everywhere. For the leaky poops just make sure all the ruffles are out and smooth and maybe put them on a touch tighter. I think those runny poops leak out of all diapers:(

  16. viany says:

i like pampers too because they are more soft and comfortable and has little whole for fast absorbing…huggies are stiff and i had the baby leakin from te side wit huggies..its probly that ur baby is small..try tighting it more on his waist

I used the Huggies Newborn diapers and they worked great for my son. Now i only use the Huggies Night time diapers and i think they work good too. Just that my son still leaks through them because he doesn’t wake up until 4 hours or more for another feeding and had one right before bedtime. I buy the Target brand diapers for normal use because they are the cheapest ive found and my son can still pee in them at least 3 times before leaking through. I buy a box of 92 size 4 diapers for $14 and something cents after the taxes! And they’re better with the size, look, and absorption than the Walmart ones.

We switched over to Huggies while my son was still in newborn, and loved them so much. He’s 16 months now and after trying a few other brands at different times I just keep coming back to Huggies. They fit our child better than any others, and hold everything in. We use Natural Fit but that may not start til size 2 or so. No hurt in trying them out :-)

  19. Lisa C says:

I LOVED huggies newborn – They have a little cutout for the umbilical cord stubby, and they were fantastic at keeping everything in the diaper. Our baby was 7 lbs 12 oz at birth, so if your’s is about the same they’ll work great for you too I’m sure – We did move up to the next size before the baby was 10lbs – that also helped ensure the poop stayed in the diaper, not down the legs!

  20. Pedsgurl says:

I don’t care for Huggies at all. They aren’t worth the money. I love Pampers but I found the White Cloud brand sold at Wal-mart was just a good.

    Good luck!

  21. Ella's Mammy says:

I love pampers…I think they are a lot softer than huggies, I never had any leaks with either brand though. My mother has bought me loads of both brands, im currently using size 3 pampers but will use the huggies when all the pampers are gone because they are bigger

  22. Autumn & Jayden Mommy (&Baby #3) says:

    Pampers Swaddlers….regliously!!!

They only send Huggies coupons because Pampers is more popular and they want you to buy them instead.

Try cheerios boxes, they sometimes have them on the back, also try pampers.com you can get some mailed to you.

I liked Pampers swaddlers, cruisiers….. and then Huggies pull ups and overnights are okay.
