it really depends on the shape of your baby….. you should buy one pack of each and try them both… i personally like huggies better cause they dont leak throughout the night… pampers sometimes do but not always…. they are both the best brands you can buy.. but again it just depends on the size and shape of your baby… also how active he/she is.
Pampers Swaddlers fit my newborn the best with no leaks.
I like the swaddlers the best. They were the softest and I like they way they fit baby.
You should try both to see which work best for YOUR baby. They all work differently on each kid.
For my first I loved Huggies and used them for 2 years, we then switched to Luvs.
With my son I used Pampers and loved them. I recently tried Huggies on my son and hated them. Hes now in Luvs too.
It really just depends on your baby. All diapers are cut differently and all babies are shaped differently. Some will leak for you and wont leak for others.. some will leak for others and no you.
I suggest buying a couple of different brands other than Pampers and Huggies too to see which work and fit best on your child.
I like pampers swaddlers and most of my mom friends do too. The new pampers baby dry with the flexible grips are betternow for overnights if worried about leaks but the swaddlers are by far the softest and best fitting.
I always went with Pampers Swadlers – they fit well and I never had leaks.
You are going to have to try them out to see what works best for your baby. My son was allergic to Huggies and he broke out within minutes of having one one. He could only wear Tushies (an all natural organic disposable diaper).
Each baby is different. And your baby’s needs may change as he or she grows as well.

PAMPERS!! Both of my baby’s leaked terrible with huggies when they where newborn… I don’t know what it is, bad design maybe. But i would definitely say pampers swaddlers are the best newborn diapers..
i dont know but stick wid just one sort cuz if you change from differnt brands it could irratate the babys skin. we will be using huggies but everyone is differnt x x
Look at it like this: Open up a Pamper and smell the inside (they smell like baby powder) now Open up a Huggie and smell the inside of it (it smells like chemicals). Which one would you like to put on your child’s butt? Chemicals or Baby Powder?? A Pamper diaper will hold up better, too. With Huggies you will notice more leaks.
I like the pampers brand swaddlers best for newborns

Pampers Swaddlers are the one and only diaper my son got a rash from. I’ve even bought like white cloud brand for some reasons the Pampers Swaddlers gave him a rather BAD rash no other diaper has. It’s usually best to try a few brands to see what works best. My brother had a girl LUVs gave her a rash. Pampers Swaddlers are what the hospital used when he was born by the time i took him home is tush was all broke out. THEY ARE SOFT and fit well they did not work for him. Pampers and Huggies while popular don’t mean at all they are the best means those company’s spend on a adventasing to get new moms to THINK THEY ARE BEST!
I tried every brand and found that the Baby Basics (its the store brand sold by Albertons and JewelOsco) were cheaper and worked comparable to pampers. Huggies leaked and smelled funny, in my opinion.
It depends on your baby. We prefer Huggies Supreme where as a co-worker prefers Pampers. Different diapers fit babies differently. For example, the size 3 package gives a guideline for 16-28 pounds, yet my daughter who weighs less than that has been wearing them for 2 months now.
Try a small package of each and give what you don’t like to someone else who may use them.
I am a fan of huggies. Have used them since my son was born. I have never had a leaky issue with them however I did with the pampers. It all depends the baby though. I have noticed that he can sleep through the night in a huggie but with a pamper he wakes up wet in the middle of the night. My friend swares by pampers so you really need to try both and see what you like better. Another friends daughter got a uti at 16 months and the doc thought it was the pamper. She just switched from huggies to give them a try and 3 days later ended up at the doc. Who knows for sure but back to huggies for her.
I loved the pampers swaddlers for newborns , but thereafter i changed to Huggies Supreme’s. Those are just what works best for my daughter after new born, she still wears the huggies and is now in size 6.
The truth is you should try one and if they work great if not try the other. I had great results with pampers they didn’t leak as much and fit much better then huggies but I have heard some children are just the opposite and huggies work better. you will just have to try and see. LOVE the Pampers Swaddlers!!! Very soft and great protection, never used anything else on my daughter except Pampers. Now that she is crawling we use the Pampers Cruisers. We also used the Pampers Sensitive wipes & now use the wipes that go with the cruisers. Can’t think of the name but they have more soap than the sensitive which is great when your baby starts eating solids:) Our daughter is 7 months old and has never had a diaper rash… Hope this helped!!!
Pampers swaddlers all the way! I tried Huggies and she soaked through them almost instantly!
swaddlers r good the nursery uses them to they are soft and fit real comfortable looks like on my baby

Huggies have always broke out my sons skin, I like pampers better and they are lightly scented.
I liked the Huggies, except they smelled kind of weird and my daughter was allergic to them. We used the Pampers Swaddlers and I LOVED them. Never leaked and didn’t have the smell.
